ANNISTON… IT’S TIME TO SHOW UP!
Right now, the Anniston High School Mighty Marching Bulldogs Band is out in the community doing their part—standing at:
📍 Weaver Rd & Glade Rd (North Anniston, across from Sonic)
📍 18th St & Cooper Ave
They’re not just raising money… they’re raising hope, opportunity, and the future of our city.
These students are preparing to travel to Georgia for the Viewer’s Choice Battle of the Bands at Six Flags on April 25. For many of them, this is more than a performance—it’s a chance to see the world beyond Anniston, to experience culture, and to grow into the leaders they’re meant to be.
And I can tell you personally… that matters.
I’m Landon Brooks with MAWH Productions. I was once a drum major at Anniston High School, and being in that band was one of the most memorable and life-shaping experiences of my life. It taught me leadership. It taught me discipline. It gave me the confidence to stand tall and lead.
Back then, under the direction of Denise Willis, there was a belief poured into every student—a belief that we mattered, that we had purpose, and that we could go further than we ever imagined.
That same spirit is alive today.
Band Director Kerwin Allen is continuing that vision—pushing these students not only to perform, but to grow, to travel, and to dream bigger. From Georgia… to future goals like Orlando and beyond.
But here’s the truth:
Other schools in Calhoun County show up for their students.
Now it’s OUR turn to show what Anniston is made of.
Anniston is on the rise. And our students deserve to feel that support in a real way.
💛 Pull up.
💛 Donate.
💛 Encourage them.
If you can’t make it to the roadblock, you can still support by contacting the band directly: 📞 256-231-5010
Let’s come together and make a statement—not just for today, but for the future of these young leaders.
“Because when a community supports its students… there’s no limit to how far they can go.”
