From Local Stage to Hollywood: Landon Brooks Inspires the Next Generation of Actors

MAWH PRODUCTIONS guided young performers through the audition process.

The first opportunity to experience live theater.

For one former participant, those kinds of local theater opportunities helped spark a life-changing journey.

A Young Actor With Big Dreams

Years ago in Anniston, Alabama, an 11-year-old named Landon Brooks stepped into the world of theater through programs like these. Like many kids in the audition room today, he simply wanted a chance to perform.

Brooks was cast in a role that would become a memorable moment in his early acting journey — playing the Tin Man in a local production. Experiences like that introduced him to the craft of acting and showed him what was possible.

“Acting for me was an outlet as a young man growing up with a big vision,” Brooks says. “I tried to put myself in the room and learn as much as I could.”

From Community Theater to the Big Screen

That early exposure to theater helped Brooks develop confidence and discipline as a performer. Over time, those small beginnings led to major opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Brooks has since worked alongside some of the most recognizable names in entertainment, including:

He also became a series regular on the FOX drama The Resident and has collaborated with Marvel Studios on projects, along with other productions he says he cannot yet publicly discuss.

Brooks has also worked with directors from the long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

Giving Back to the Next Generation

Now Brooks is returning to his roots in Alabama to help guide the next generation of actors.

He recently launched the Actors Access Workshop, designed to teach aspiring performers about:

  • The fundamentals of acting

  • How to break into the industry

  • Professional audition techniques

  • Navigating the entertainment business

The workshop arrives at a pivotal moment for the region’s film industry. Comedian and entertainer Katt Williams recently announced plans to launch a major production studio in Alabama, signaling growing opportunities for actors and filmmakers across the state.

A Message to Young Performers

For Brooks, the lesson is simple: the journey often begins in local theaters just like the one hosting “Pinocchio.”

“Participating in your local theater and never giving up on your dreams can truly change your life,” Brooks says.

MAWH Productions and Actor Landon Brooks Launch Opportunity for Aspiring Actors

At a time when the entertainment industry is expanding across the Southeast, MAWH Productions is working to create new opportunities for aspiring actors, filmmakers, and creatives.

Founded and led by actor and director Landon Brooks, the company focuses on media production, artist development, and creating platforms where emerging talent can learn the business of film and television. The company also produces media coverage for major cultural events, conferences, and community initiatives while developing film and television projects of its own.

Brooks’ vision is simple: build a creative hub in the Southeast where artists do not have to leave their hometowns to pursue their dreams.

“Creatives around the world shouldn’t have to leave their own cities just to be recognized,” Brooks has said. “If communities nurture their own talent, it becomes a win-win for everyone.”

The Vision Behind MAWH.TV

One of the company’s major initiatives is MAWH.TV, a digital platform designed to serve as both:
