Under the faithful leadership of Rev. Dr. James D. Key, Pastor, the congregation gathered on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday, honoring the legacy and ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with reverence, reflection, and renewed commitment to justice and service.

Pastored by Reverend Ryan B. Small, where worship continued in a spirit of unity, praise, and purpose. The warm welcome and strong preaching reminded all in attendance that God is still moving mightily through His people.

Adding to the spirit of service, Dr. Peeples and the First Lady Peeples took time out of their busy schedule to visit the sick in the hospital, extending prayers, comfort, and encouragement. This act of compassion beautifully reflected the heart of Christ and the mission of the Progressive Baptist family—faith in action beyond the sanctuary walls.

And the momentum is not slowing down!

The Progressive Baptist Midwinter Session continues, and there is still time to be part of what God is doing. Everyone is encouraged to join us tonight for the concert at the Hyatt Regency, where fellowship, inspiration, and celebration will bring this powerful day to an uplifting close.
